THE CRINKLED SILK-CHIFFON MAXI SKIRT

This piece is part of the COS ATELIER capsule, where specialised craft and innovative applications combine to create a refined collection.​​CUT​For Spring Summer 2024, the ATELIER designers looked to fluid fabrics and forms. Channelling that inspiration, this column maxi skirt is shaped with a softly elasticated waistband that fans out to a godet fishtail hem, creating diaphanous volume. It will look particularly striking styled with the coordinating blouse. CLOTH​We selected a lightly crinkled mulberry silk-chiffon cloth, the delicate nature of which lends itself to the floatiness of the silhouette. It was chosen for its featherweight hand feel and slight sheerness that is subtly contrasted by the opaque underskirt.​CRAFT​Masterful craftsmanship is central to the capsule. This piece has been intricately gathered at the waistline and fishtail seam to create a textured fullness, without weighing the fall of the garment. Finally, a meticulously stitched pin hem borders the edges. Shell: 100% Mulberry silk. Lining: 77% Viscose, 19% Mulberry silk, 4% Elastane.
